    How Recruiting Statuses Work

    The “Add New Status” window is the same for all three sections and contains:

    • Status Name and a tag preview;
    • Color, selected from a palette;
    • Status Group, selected from a drop-down list.

    Status Group is the key field and is what distinguishes Recruiting from the other sections. You can create any number of custom statuses for your hiring process, but each status must belong to one of the fixed groups. The system generates analytics by group rather than by status name. This keeps reporting accurate even if you rename stages or add intermediate ones.

    Vacancy Statuses

    Default values: New, In work, Canceled, Finished.

    Available groups: New, Active, Successfully Closed, Unsuccessfully Closed.

    Candidate Statuses

    Default values: In work, Inactive.

    Available groups: Active, Inactive. The system uses them to determine the total number of active and inactive candidates in the database.

    Application Statuses

    An application is a specific candidate’s response to a specific vacancy. Default values: New, In Progress, Interview, Offer, Hired, Rejected.

    Available groups: New, In Progress, Hired, Rejected.

    ℹ️ A single stage in your pipeline can consist of several statuses within the same group. For example, “Technical Interview” and “Final Interview” can both belong to the “In Progress” group. For the team, these are two different stages; for analytics, they are one state.

    Candidate Sources

    This reference list contains the channels from which candidates arrive. The “Add Source” window contains one required field: Source Name.

    Custom Fields for Vacancies and Candidates

    These two sections use the standard field-creation window; see “Custom Fields.”
