Task statuses: description, add new statuses, editing

By default, the if.team service offers a set of basic task statuses: “New”, “In work”, “On approval”, “Finished”, “Blocked”.

The name, color, number of statuses can be changed (add new ones) by an employee with editing permission to the next section (“Admin panel” 1️⃣ – “Settings” 2️⃣ – “Task statuses” 3️⃣):

All statuses have standard designations and can be easily customized to suit the needs of a specific company, but the “Final status” significantly alters the functionality.

The “Final status” option means that the time cannot be edited in this task. To implement this, mark the appropriate checkbox in the status 1️⃣:

how to add or edit status task

Task status “New”

It is usually assigned to tasks that are only planned to be started and are waiting for a responsible (worker) who will change the status, for example, to “In work”.

Task status “In wok”

The status of the active task that is currently being worked on.

The status of the task is “On approval”

This status involves waiting for the supervisor or project manager to check the completed work. Usually, this status assigns the task to “Responsible” after the task is completed.

Task status “Finished”

The standard final status that finalizes the work and does not allow you to make changes to the time worked.

Task status “Blocked”

Tasks that have not passed the inspection may require further refinement or may not fully meet the technical requirements.
