Dependence on tasks

This is an additional feature in tasks that allows you to add dependencies based on the “Expectation” or “Blocking” principle.

Sequencing tasks organizes the workflow, enables better formation of task interdependencies, and facilitates monitoring of workloads and deadlines on the “Gantt Chart” tab.

Visually, established dependencies of “Expectation” and “Blocking” look like this in a task:

Dependence on tasks – Expectation

To implement a “Expectation” dependency, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the sequence of buttons in the “Task Dependencies” block: “Add Dependency” – “Expectation”.

2. In the new window, find the task that must be completed before the current task using the search function, or select a task from the list.

3. Immediately after selection, a new row will appear in the current task indicating the dependency, including the name of the task and functionality to delete the dependency.

Dependence on tasks – Blocking

To set a “Blocking” dependency on a task:

1. Click on the sequence of buttons in the “Task dependency” block: “Add Dependency” – “Blocking”.

2. In the new window, find the task that must be started after the current task is completed using the search function or select a task from the list.

3. Immediately after selection, a new row will appear in the current task indicating the “Blocking” dependency, including the name of the task and functionality to delete the dependency.

💡 Please note that the task specified in the “Blocking” field will have a corresponding “Expectation” dependency for the current task.
